We took a day trip to Wabasha MN. (Grumpy Old Men) to mainly visit the town, and the area. We pretty much stumbled onto the
http://www.nationaleaglecenter.org/ in the downtown area. We had gotten some good pictures of injured and recovering Eagles at the center, sat thru a class and a feeding of two of the Eagles. I didnt know it but a small lead sinker, used in fishing this size---->
o can kill an Eagle in 4 days, one at the center had been hit by a passing car, that was the lucky part, he had ingested a sinker, they X-rayed him, found the sinker, removed it and he is doing fine. Feathers that fall off these are turned over to the Native Americans in Colo. for ritual processing. The nests that Eagles build can weigh up to two tons and can topple trees because of the weight. I have personally seen an Eagles nest and it is the size of a mini van.
Before the feeding

I got real close to this one.....

There were 4 here, think you see only 3
