I brought up this story last night at my buddies house who so happens to be from La. and is a big Saints fan. It did no go over well, but it was funny nonetheless.

Sean Payton is a graduate from Northern Illinois. He still has many ties there. A few years ago when he was with the Cowboys as offensive coordinator he brought in a QB in that was not drafted. When Sean Payton took the head coaching job at N.O. he took a few players from the Cowboys, Shanle and Fujita who are starting linebackers for the Saints D.
He also was taking the QB that he brought in from Northern Illinois. At the very last second, Jerry Jones changed his mind and kept the player Payton thought so highly of.
So Sean Payton was in desperate need of a QB, because the kid he really wanted was no longer available. Out of options he took a gamble on a QB that broke his shoulder the previous season, Drew Brees.

Oh that QB Payton really wanted. Yup, you guessed it Tony Romo.

True Story, and you can thank Jerry Jones for the Saints getting Drew Brees, because if Jones does not keep Romo, he would be playing for the Saints.

Your welcome.

LOL

I think the Cowboys had something to do with settling the West too. The Indians are still pissed.

Maybe Jerry should have kept Sean, got Brees and won another Superbowl. But what
